You get a PDF certificate and a portable proof.json that anyone can verify without us. A timestamp proves that this exact content existed at that time — it does not prove authorship and it is not a patent, trademark or copyright registration.
1. Describe your idea — write a title and description, or attach any file. In the Protect flow the file is hashed in your browser and is not uploaded.
2. Written to Bitcoin — the SHA-256 fingerprint is recorded in an OP_RETURN output of a Bitcoin mainnet transaction.
3. Get your certificate — a PDF with the transaction ID, the hash, a QR code and a verification link, plus proof.json.
