Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 September 2026 · Operator: Agile Playground LLC, a Delaware (USA) limited liability company · Contact: hello@icalledit.io

Plain-language terms for using icalledit.io. By creating an account or buying credits you agree to them.

1. Who we are

icalledit.io is operated by Agile Playground LLC, Delaware, USA. You can reach us at hello@icalledit.io.

2. What the service does

You enter a title and, optionally, a description, additional fields and the hash of a file. We build a structured record from that data, compute its SHA-256 hash, and write the hash into a Bitcoin mainnet transaction (in an OP_RETURN output). You receive a PDF certificate by email and can download a proof.json file containing the exact hashed record. A public page at icalledit.io/verify/<certificate-id> shows the hash, the transaction and its status.

3. What the service does not do

4. Accounts

You need an account with a valid email address. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity in your account. We may suspend accounts that are used unlawfully or to abuse the service.

5. Credits, prices and payment

Registrations are paid with credits: one credit = one registration. Credits are sold in one-time packs — currently $19 for 1, $49 for 3 and $149 for 10, in US dollars (see Pricing). There is no subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your card details. A credit is used when you submit a registration (Protect or Dedicate); if the registration fails before it is broadcast to Bitcoin, the credit is returned automatically. Without credits you can preview the process, but a preview is not written to Bitcoin.

6. Refunds

Once a registration has been written to Bitcoin it cannot be refunded, because the transaction is irreversible. See the Refund policy.

7. Your content and your responsibilities

8. Permanence and what is public

Bitcoin transactions are public and permanent. The hash and the transaction cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including us. Read the Privacy page for exactly what is public and what is not.

9. Third-party networks

The service depends on the Bitcoin network and on third-party providers (listed in the Privacy page). Confirmation times and network fees are outside our control. A registration is shown as "broadcast" until the Bitcoin network has included it in a block, and as "confirmed" afterwards. We offer no uptime guarantee or service-level agreement.

10. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for the outcome of any dispute in which you rely on a timestamp, or for loss caused by you losing your original files. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect registrations already made. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
